MOHAI Trustees have reached into the dark recesses of their personal wine cellars to share favorites from their collections. You’ll have the opportunity to bid on two cases of a unique local, domestic, and imported reds and whites from Europe’s oldest family-owned vineyards to Washington’s most talked about labels -- Quilceda Creek, DeLille Cellars, and Leonetti , to name a few. Bid high and remember what Ben Franklin said – “Wine is constant proof that God loves us and loves to see us happy.”
Relive bootlegging days during your two-hour trip for six aboard the 55-foot rum runner Keewaydin. Champagne and a light snack will be served while you cruise Lake Washington & Lake Union on this restored gem that prominent Seattle banker N.H. Latimer (1863-1923) had built in Boston in 1910.
Owners Megan Lee and Todd Glass will tell you about passing scenery and share stories about Keewaydin’s colorful history -- she still has tanks in her hull used for storing illegal booze “imported” from Canada in the 1920s!
Mutually agreeable date and time. Expires November 6, 2016.
Bid high for an exclusive evening at the historic Rhodes Mansion! Your host (and MOHAI Trustee) will personally guide your party of eight through the painstakingly restored 1915 architectural gem, designed by A. Warren Gould, and share in a champagne toast celebrating the Capitol Hill home’s 100th Anniversary. A three-course dinner prepared for you by private chef, Thierry Adam, complete with wine pairings hand-selected from your host’s wine cellar, will attempt to dazzle you as much as the home’s magnificent views of Lake Union, downtown Seattle and the Olympics. By evening’s end your memorable view of the city will be a glowing festival of lights.
Mutually agreeable date and time. Expires October 31, 2016.
